  1. Dang! I’m jealous. It’s just freaking cold here and the wind off the river brings the wind chill down to 44 degrees- which is pretty darn chilly for Florida where they don’t sell big winter coats!

  2. Jane Wilson says:

Annette – Not up to shoveling and can’t get the car out. On these days, I realize being a “food-hoarder” is a survival instinct rather than a personality flaw. I soaked beans last night and am making a loaf of bread, today, leaving the oven open after it’s baked to heat the kitchen.

  3. Ron. says:

NPR. Without a doubt. All day long.

Calgary was -20 (that’s in centrigrades) and Edmonton was -22–the mountains were opened early for skiing but good ol’ Victoria, BC–so far—is between 6-10 degrees centrigrade and still great for walking, jogging and golfing. . .

It’s been snowing here for a couple of days. Schools were closed. I made a pot of beans and baked a loaf of bread while I listened to NPR. I’ll be inside most of the time for the next few weeks and I’m going to enjoy it, this year.

  5. evanatiello says:

Yay, for the warm kitchen! And I bet it smells pretty dang good, too!

  6. Short, concise, and says it all. Well done, Jane.
